Core subscription

The everyday ledger: what came in, what went out, which invoice is still open, and whether the month is closed.

01

Income and expense capture

Enter or import what came in and what went out, with notes and attachments that stay attached to the record.

02

Invoice records

Keep an issue date, due date, line items and payment status for every invoice you raise.

03

Bank line matching

Bring in a bank export and match each line to an invoice, a receipt or a category rule.

04

Categories and rules

Build the categories your business actually uses, then let rules apply them to repeat payees.

05

Document attachments

Store receipts and contracts against the ledger entry, so a query six months later is answerable.

06

Month-end close

Lock a period once it is reviewed. Locked months stay locked unless an owner reopens them.

The working month

Three passes, then the month is closed

  1. Capture. Enter the day’s trade, or import a bank export and let the rules categorise repeat payees.
  2. Match. Clear every line: an invoice, a receipt, a transfer between your own accounts, or a known category.
  3. Close. Review the summary, lock the period, export whatever your accountant wants.

Detail that survives an audit

Every line keeps its evidence

A figure without a receipt is a guess. Each entry can carry the document it came from, the date it was paid, the account it left, and the category you assigned — visible in the same row, years later.

  • Receipts and contracts attached to the entry, not to an inbox
  • Category history per payee, so next month is faster than this one
  • Edits logged against the user who made them, in Team and Accountant editions

What we do not do

The ledger records money; it does not move it

Core subscription is a record-keeping tool. Your bank, your customers and your accountant stay exactly where they are.

  • No payment processing, card handling or checkout.
  • No holding or transferring of customer funds.
  • No bank, credit, loan or investment products.
  • No filing with a tax authority on your behalf.

FAQ

Before you start

Can I use it if I am not VAT registered?

Yes. VAT fields stay switched off until you enable them, and nothing in the ledger requires a VAT number.

What happens if I miss a month?

Nothing breaks. Bank imports can be backdated, and the month simply stays open until you close it. Period locks are a choice, not a deadline.

Is there a limit on records?

No row limit is applied to any edition. Practical limits are set out in the terms of service as fair-use guidance, not metering.
