Bank export
Download a statement range from your bank as CSV, OFX, QIF, MT940 or Camt.053 and import it directly.
You should not have to start from zero. Bring the history across, check it, then carry on.
Where records come from
Whatever the source, the import is checked before it lands in a closed period.
Download a statement range from your bank as CSV, OFX, QIF, MT940 or Camt.053 and import it directly.
Export from your current bookkeeping tool and map its columns to the ledger fields once.
A maintained spreadsheet maps cleanly if it has consistent date, amount and description columns.
Scanned receipts and a written summary can be entered as an opening balance and prior-period entries.
How migration runs
Match your columns to ledger fields once. The mapping is saved for the next import.
See exactly what will be created, with duplicates flagged before anything is written.
Commit the batch. Entries arrive unclosed, so you can review before locking the period.
Reconcile the imported totals against the source file, then close the period.
Scope and cost
The first migration in each subscription year is part of your plan. Anything beyond that is scoped and quoted before work starts — never billed as a surprise.
| Item | Included? | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| First migration in a subscription year | Included | One import batch, up to 24 months of history, mapped and checked with you. |
| Additional migration batches | Quoted separately | Charged at the rate confirmed in writing before the work starts. |
| Historic rebuild from paper records | Quoted separately | Scoped after a sample review; not part of any subscription edition. |
| Ongoing bank exports | Included | CSV, OFX, QIF, MT940 and Camt.053 imports are part of normal use. |
FAQ
Up to 24 months of history in the included migration batch. Older records can be imported in a separately quoted batch, typically for a first full-year comparison.
The preview flags rows that match an existing date, amount and reference. You choose whether to skip, merge or import them as separate entries — nothing is deleted silently.
You import the statement file your bank or previous tool produces. Direct bank connections are not part of this service; the file route works with every bank that offers an export.
A committed batch can be rolled back by an owner while the period is still open. Once a period is closed, corrections are made as adjusting entries so the history stays honest.
A five-row sample is usually enough to confirm whether your export will import cleanly.
